Dearest Acharya,

I just came across your truthbeknown site and wow! I feel compelled to  let you know just how genuinely refreshing it is to come across such eloquently presented wisdom, from a Buddhaful person with the courage  to speak her mind. When we are all so awake, what a happier world this  will be. I can see that we're on similiar paths, and humbly offer my  help if your intuition tells you I could be of assitance. I'd rather teach one small bird how to sing, than teach ten thousand stars how not to dance. To Loving Light, the Isness which connects us all ...

Great website!  I am linking your site to mine....   Your site is among the most refreshing I have seen yet....  You are pretty brave.  It's kind of like exposing the little old scruffy guy behind the curtain in the Land Of Oz.

Keep up the good works anyway. Peace

Just found your site and read through some of the material, which, I agree with for the most part.  I must admit it has been an adventure for me for the last ten years slowly and agonizingly tearing away at years of strict religious upbringing and realizing that truth is not in anything I was taught in my younger days. So the search is on and each new revelation or piece of information that somehow seems more rational and sensible is mulled over and given more space in my belief system....but, I do have a question about a topic that somehow still keeps my left foot firmly planted in religious dogma.

That is...what am I do make of, sensibly and rationally, of what are called "apartitions"(such as those at Medjugora)? recent legends of extraordinary persons such as Father Pio, who was able to bilocate and had what is termed the stigmata? reports of saints whose bodies never decomposed? etc.  These phenomena continue to puzzle me and I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions or just what is going on.

Thank you.

[Regarding apparitions and miracles and such, I am not "against them," nor do I say they don't happen.  The human mind can create virtually anything if it is set to it.  It can also draw things out.  One must remember, however, that for thousands of years the followers of Isis and Osiris, the Egyptian gods, as well as many other deities worldwide, also saw them and received miracles from them, such that it is not possible to utilize such experiences as "evidence" of their reality.  There are, of course, also hallucinations, which would be the skeptical, dismissive response.

The lack of decomposition and other yogic miracles (siddhis) is always puzzling.  I have experienced many such things, including constant bizarre coincidences surrounding a particular theme.  These experiences are why I do not classify myself as an "atheist" or "skeptic" as such.  But I do not view the energy or "divinity" that creates such anomalies to be outside of creation, separate and apart, as in a giant male being called God.  We could chalk these things up to "hyperdimensional physics" or some other such thing.  Loses the magic and mystery though.  I rather like those qualities.

I read with interest what you had to say about the above-mentioned subject.  Do you believe that all of the Bible is a myth? I was raised a Christian and try to discern for myself the truth, but some things I have taken at the word of my family or church.  Enlighten me! Thank you.

[Most of the Bible is a record of myths from other cultures reworked to revolve around particular groups of people.  Virtually the entire gospel story, for example, is a rehash of older mythological motifs.

I found your site after Kenn Thomas did an interview on the Art Bell show.  He recommended your website. So I logged on and needless to say, I was impressed beyond words.

In 1992, I was a depressed 21-year-old alcohol-soaked college drop-out. I couldn't stand the rat race. I had no idea what I wanted to "be". Church had always made me queasy and infested with guilt and the older I got the less life made any sense. As my life crumbled around me I knew there had to be something I was missing. Overloading on sex didn't fill the hole, neither did the alcohol or any other thing promoted by popular culture. Slowly I began to realize that it all had to start with me...  First I had to get rid of the excessive alocohol, which I did with the help of the sacred herb. Slowly as I faced myself I began to understand that there were all kinds of baggage stored up in my brain that I didn't put there. I found I was naive to the extreme and my beliefs weren't mine.  I knew then that the reality was that "I" didn't really believe anything, which actually was a good thing because it provided me with a clean slate with which I could begin to rebuild myself using my intellect and intuition from the infinite universe.  So ... to make a very long story short, I found a coulple of old friends who felt the same (what a relief) and we all embarked on a vision quest. We blew smoke to the four winds, we became familiar to the mushroom, we joined hands in a circuit and felt the magic of the cosmos and all came to the conclusion that religion is the ultimate scam used to enslave people across the entire globe . We studied the Maya. We found that European disease wiped out 90% of the Indians. They killed and enslaved the rest, all the while carrying the cross. I could go on and on.

Anyway, you gave me one of the final pieces of the puzzle.  Did the man Jesus Christ really walk the earth? No. Thank you. Your work is invaluable.  You are helping to break the yoke of intolerable ignorance. There is so much more to his-story, so much more to life than most will ever know. The real truth is our birthright and we as humans are consitantly denied this by the powermongers and elite. So once again thank you Acharya S, and please keep up the excellent work.  The beauty of your work shines through the darkness like a beautiful beacon!

ps-all this and you are a hottie too!!!!!

Best wishes--S

To: Acharya S,

A week or so ago, I caught a few moments of Kenn on the Art Bell show.  The (banner) link to Acharya brought me here.    Whew, what a rush of renewal in reading Acharya's very pointed expressions !

I grew up in a liberal (theologically) Lutheran background, but somehow thought it was nonsense....

... I started this as a letter of appreciation to Acharya's daring to be Her self.   I read her thoughts with more than a smile; rather, a knowing....

... Acharya, the pic of you embracing the Earth is such a sweet picture that I've made it the backfround on my desktop.  I actually look forward to the image of Love when my monitor starts up.

When I checked e-mail this morning, my uncle had sent me a note with a link to your page..."god" bless him.  I not only admire your intelligence, but your wit as well.  Unfortunately too many humanists/atheists/freethinkers take themselves as seriously as do the religious.  Your sense of humor shines through. I skipped around to topics that looked particularly interesting and most of what I read is right on.  I will go through your site thoroughly when I have more time, i.e. am not at work.

I think Gautama Buddha said something to the effect of "Don't believe anything anybody tells you, INCLUDING ME, unless it makes sense to you."  My impression from the little I've read of your site is that that would be something you would also subscribe to -- yes?

[Oddly enough, I begin my book The Christ Conspiracy with the full quote attributed to "the Buddha" (who is a fictional character).

Acharya: Well, Listbot has my allegedly humorous e-howdy, but I resumed consciousness long enough to go straight to the source. And what a delight you seem to these 44-year old eyen, forgive the archaism.  I sit a few yards from a converted trailer wherein I keep my surviving thousands of books which I rescued from a leaky warehouse, and the contents of those books rush in their mildewy way to the forefront of my mind as I wander through your site. Your site reminded me in a flash of my rather harmless Episcopalian upbringing (even if my Congregationalist father and Catholic mother never once attended after dropping me off), in which I muttered prayers about being a "miserable sinner" while wondering why I, a bespectacled lad with pale skin and a well-noted high IQ, got the crap kicked out of me not only in school but even in the cellar of the church when dressing for the service!  Ironically, it was suggested jokingly in my senior year, which looks as remote (happily) as the Triassic, that I play Jesus in the Passion Play. (What I endured, I suspect, could have melted those nitwit killers in Littleton,CO into puddles of protein long before they turned to guns.)  ...  So let me close, as a nice night walk here on Boston's South Shore calls, by announcing my fandom, my respect and awe at your mind and beauty, and a sigh of relief that someone else knows lonely Duesberg's amazing insights. Despite my belonging on and off to Mass. Audubon for nearly thirty years, I sometimes am as skeptical of environmental doomsaying as I am of the AIDS hysterics, although we CAN see loss of habitat as a clear starting place... yipes, must go for that Spaziergang. Take care.

Hi Acharya:  I am a blind gentleman who is seeking the truth.  Your web site is very informative.  Because of my blindness, i am unable to read the printed page.  I want to know if your books are on computer disk.  This will allow me to read them on my computer.  i use a speech synthesizer.  Please let me know.  The discovery of your web site has moved me forward in my search for the truth.  I often wonder how did I ever believed the bible to be the truth...  thanks

[I would love to help this fellow, but, of course, it requires funds, which could be donated to my non-profit Institute for Historical Accuracy.

Dear Acharya S,

I have been to your site several times and I have always found it thoughtful and thought provoking.

But today I looked at your pictures, and you are totally hot!

I never thought women like you existed (no offense to women, I just never have met any).

You know, with your looks and brains, you could rule the world.

[Heh, heh.

Subject: Your picture is beautiful , and so are you !

Hi..  just came upon your sight...don't know how I bookmarked you... but at any rate ended up on your picture page...  you are so buddhaful...  I love the phrase....  I like the head & the head3 background pictures the best.   (innocent ? )...

At any rate...   everything you write could as easily be coming out of my mouth.  It's great to see another great soul express herself so eloquently.

I started out as an atheist myself, until I started feeling , as a 22-year-old... and true to the Narcissus and Goldmund theme by Hesse, I started experience a new birth finally ending up in my body,... I truly believe that the thinker who starts feeling will become the radical, who will give birth to action...  Feeling impregnates Thought with Action....  and thus ending up into my body, I slipped through the hatch and popped up on the other side, and the rest is history....  (That was about 28 years ago for me)...  So everything you say, is obvious... and much of that I also knew as a youth.  So it's nice to meet a kindred soul, who only speaks her truth...  Your sight is very refreshing.  So even though I know that God is all, all is love, and I come or I spring from the Heart of God to Partake and breathe Life, I rejoice in all your wonderful "anti-religion" sayings, because so many people are sleepwalkers, and blindly doing , or have no idea what they are doing...  and your exposes are poignant and meaningful...

Just wanted to say hello, and also let you know how pretty that picture of you is... So although I love the divine, I also love the sight of a beautiful woman reflecting the divine.

The truth is long overdue.  Thank you for having the guts to put it out there. I found your site a real eye opener and thoroughly enjoyed it.  What I never have understood; just exactly what is a Christian's motive?

Keep it up!

[Christian's motive? To assimilate everyone into the BORG collective.
