In addition to the hundreds of instances of χρηστοί or chrestoi appear many other forms of the word, such as χρηστόν or chreston, χρηστούς or chrestous, etc., in the extant writings from Pagan antiquity as well. Suffice it to say that a full survey would be very time-consuming and extensive. It is evident that many people in antiquity were called "chrest," or chrestos/chresto.
