Emails I Have Loved

Hello, I have just finished reading The Christ Conspiracy.  I found it to be a thorough and scholarly work which supports what I have believed for some time. I first found Col. James Churchward' s The Lost Continent of Mu in my Junior High library and read the book in the mid-fifties.  I always wondered about the veracity of the findings. In the last several years I have had the time to go back and read more on the early history of Man.  Much has been (re)-discovered since the fifties that certainly seems to support the story as reported by Churchward.  I have read all of Gardener's books, but I find them to be self-serving in support of the ruling monarchy, and don't tell the entire truth.  I have been interested in the Knights Templar history for some time as well and the Prior of Sion story.

I think your book and the earlier works by Massey, which I have started to read, do spell out the history of the Mythos and what it really means.  I am an educated person, trained in physics and engineering, and an amateur (very) astronomer.  I understand the precession of the equinoxes and I have read Hamlet's Mill.

There is hope in my heart that the next generation (or two) will finally get the facts straight and a new age can begin.  Unless, Man is doomed to continually kill his own kind forever, due to a basic flaw in our genetic programming, then we may not survive, unless that flaw can be eliminated.

I must say, of all that I have read in the last ten years, your book was a major breakthrough in truth-telling.  I am also a follower of Zechariah Sitchin.  I believe the story of mankind lies in the Sumerian tablets, or in even older tablets not yet available to the west (such as those referred to by Churchward.  I hope that you will continue to publish the truth and that more people will avail themselves of it through works such as those you have written.

Hey Acharya,

Your book, Christ Conspiracy, is one of the best books I've ever read.

Without being fanatical...

Sometimes I think that the greatest thing I'd like to have a part in accomplishing in my life would be getting "air time" for your book (and two other books that complement yours, "The Encyclopedia of Biblical Errancy" and "The Mind of the Bible Believer").  I envision a cable TV program that gets these views out there, politely and diplomatically, aiming to at least get people to reconsider their beliefs.  Seems like, as much as religious people complain about being persecuted, they get all the air time.  Is anyone working on such a project, as far as you know?

Thanks for the great book.

I know, of course, that you must be careful, especially with people you meet in this manner, but, I would love to have an opportunity to meet you.

Do you go on a lecture tour? Barnes & Nobles, and other book stores host such events. I'm sure you have already done your merchandising and marketing homework. Possibly, if you are in Florida, you might drop me a line to let me know when/where. I might meet you in a public place such as a book store. Forgive the personal interest but I am SO tired of the usual theist garbage that I would really like to meet you! : )  Atheists tend to be very intelligent free-thinking original people!

I have read some of your articles, in particular the ones about spirituality and sex and must say that, in general, I agree with you. I have a question though. If there is no historical foundation at all to the bible, why are all these archaeologists and scholars running around trying to find the lost ark of the covenant, etc. Because they are scholars, too, and most of them not the type to be deluded by religion. Also, aren't the wailing wall and the temple in Jerusalem some evidence of some historical foundation? What about the mention of Jesus in the Sanhedrin records? Would they mention him if he was not real, being after all opposed to him? I am not sure about his reality, but I have always regarded him as a teacher, not a god, and agree absolutely with your remarks on the damages done by religion and the true nature of spirituality.

Thanks for the articles.

Thank you for your comments. Not all of the Bible is without historical foundation; it is historical fiction, in large part, which means some of it was set in a particular place. The ark of the covenant? There were many such arks, supposedly containing various gods, in Canaanite and Egyptian culture, for example. I don't know why people are so goofy about the Judeo-Christian mythology... Yes, there is a wailing wall - it was built during Herod's reign, I believe. There is no evidence of Solomon's Temple, but there was a "Second Temple," built much later. No, there is no mention of Jesus in the "Sanhedrin records." There are several "Jesuses" in the Talmud, which contains a book called "Sanhedrin," but these are based on Christian testimony and written several centuries after the purported events. These comments do not serve as "testimony" any more than would commentary on Gulliver centuries after Swift's book was written. For more info on this subject, check out my book The Christ Conspiracy, the excerpts of my book Suns of God and the URLs at my Christ Conspiracy page.

Dear friends,

My name is Eduard Diaconu and I am from Romania.  I write you in the name of a small group of students living here. These days we have the chance to sail on the Internet, and, among all those wonderful things there, we have found a link to you.  And, after visiting your web-site, we were truly amazed by your vision over the human spirit.

We are some kind of a research and study group, trying to evolve our spirit, mind and body. Sadly, here in Romania it is almost impossible to rise from the common mass, especially when you use methods which are generally considered "unorthodox."  They have such a limited vision, and anything which they can not understand, they classified it as some kind of "heresy" and never look at it again.  You just can not imagine how refractory and rigid they are.  But, you can imagine our struggle against the system, our fight for freedom.

After a long struggle, we have succeed to open a public library. With some help from a local counselor, we have officialized our group as a Non Governmental Association. Then, to open this library was relatively easy. Though, we still have some minor problems in finding a proper location for the library.  At the moment, it is located in a pretty old building, but we hope that we will find a more proper location in short time. Well, we have just started this  "adventure," and those small problems are almost inevitable. What was really important was done.  At the moment, our patrimony consist in just six hundred books and almost two hundred magazines, plus some video tapes and music on CD-s and audio tapes.  The subjects of all those includes almost all kind of spiritual traditions, from Gurdjieff's teachings until Carlos Castaneda's way. And, even almost half of books are in English, we have more than 15 visitors per day.  We were very surprised by that. People are really interested, especially in eastern traditions.  We have such a great desire to read and study your works, but, you see, we have also a big problem.

Unfortunately, we are just students here, and I can assure you that you will never ever want to be a student here.  Our life is so precarious.  We are rich in spirit, but the wind is the one who fills our pockets.

Well, this is our situation. And now, we are asking for your help.  Can we dare to hope that you may have some used or deteriorated books which you do not need them anymore?  And, if you do, can you mail us something?

I just hope that we are not asking for too much.  And,if we can do something for you from here, you can sure count on us.

Eduard & friends.

P.S. Here is our mailing address:

Eduard Diaconu,
P.O.BOX 3-70,
Pitesti Arges,0300,

Anyone who would like to help out these folks, with donations of books and other materials as suggested, please do so!! They are such sweet, grateful people.

Think your site is fantastic. You have provided answers to questions I have had for a long time. It is great to see that you also have the outer beauty to go along with the brains and not a long gray beard and pot belly. Would like to know more about some of your beliefs.

Another article about you some time?  Also would like to know a good source of information showing transition of women in "religious" control/ leadership positions to domination by males. Have ordered your book and a couple others from your reading list:

Patriarchy As A Conceptual Trap and The Creation of Patriarchy

I was watching a 6-hour re-run of the Bill Moyers/Joseph Campbell interview on PBS this past weekend.  Joseph Campbell opened my eyes many years ago.  I remember reading Campbell's books and wondering if I would ever understand them as well as I would like to.  But, I must say that after reading your work, that most of Mr. Campbell's interview was very understandable to me.  I also watched Mr. Campbell's caution as he answered Bill Moyer's questions and, at the same time, watched Mr. Moyer's shock as he listened. So, thanks again for your instruction.

Subject: Your Site has Courage!
To: Acharya S

Greetings, Acharya S!

Is that a nom-de-guerre? Doesn't matter. I must compliment you on your research and courage in putting forth this site. You might be interested to know that certain software filters (euphemism for machine censorship) block your site as 'hate speech', specifically: Thankfully, they also apply the same criteria to I was brought up at school as devout Catholic in the North Eastern US fashion. At home they practiced Santeria, Cuban style. My search for the truth started in a convent/semi-military academy in *****, NY when I was about 9 or 10. This place was called ****** Academy. My search started because the nuns were, to put it mildly, wild. Fistfights, drunkenness, lesbianism, lewd exposure to the cadets, etc.

These devout ladies of the cloth showed me that there was really nothing to their belief system. Jehovah didn't smite them to dust. Neither did he smite the Mafioso that I became aware of in NYC. So the search started.... Wicca first, then demonology, followed by perusal of the Koran, Cabala, ad infinitum, finishing with the Tao Te Ching, 'The Myth of The Goddess' and 'Holographic Universe' not that long ago. The most potent stuff, interestingly, was the Seth Books by Jane Roberts.

Having read volumes of work on religion, I found that the only truth I could gander was that 'Nobody had the ultimate truth.'. Interspersed throughout everything was parts of the puzzle. The only truth that I know is "I DON'T KNOW!" Anti-gnosticism. But some religions are more obnoxious than others.

Specifically, I find Christianity an obscene religion. A madman god, demanding worship like a mafioso, saying go forth, rape the earth, breed till the earth explodes, and if you can't convert the heathen, then kill them, to paraphrase. Does that sound like the work of a supreme being? Sounds more like a description of the demon himself! I believe that the sobriquets used to define Jesus are apt, i.e. "Shepherd", "fisherman". Sheep get fleeced and fish get eaten when they bite the hook. The whole concept of one individual dying for the sins of humanity is ludicrous!

So did he also die for the sins of the aliens who live around other planets in this galaxy. What about those in a galaxy removed from ours by a billion light-years? Why pick out Earth for special treatment? Enough to split your skull if you think about it enough!

So in finishing, I thank you for your great work. Maybe the internet and people like you will cause us to come out of the 'dark ages' of religious dogma, to finally realize we are one race, the human race, alone on this planet, and the supreme being could care less how or if we worship it as long as we get along and respect life.

Thank you for your time,

Thank you for your kind comments and sharing your story. I'm aware that my site has been targeted for censorship. They're right that it contains "hate speech" - the quotes from the Bible and Koran, for example! Oh yes, and the comments from loving Christians...

Subject: Your Most Amazing Book, "The Christ Conspiracy"!
From: RJ

Dearest Acharya,

You have no idea how happy you have made me! I was raised in a very small coal mining community on a mountainside in Western Pennsylvania.

I was raised by "extreme" fundamentalists and inculcated with the erroneous beliefs of a sect/cult called Nazarenes. Well, to know that the city from which it obtained its name was nonexistent at the "alleged" time of Jesus Christ, was the most delightful item to me. My father is 85 and is afraid to die and end up in Hell because of "bad" thoughts that come into his mind. 85 years of brainwashing has numbed his brain, as I have tried to get him to think otherwise.

Being daily brainwashed for so many years, I finally started to "think" for myself at the age of 31 and have been reading nonstop since. Thank you so much for your intelligence, knowledge, investigation, research and having the audacity (balls!) to write this book. I shall forever be grateful!

Thank you

Thank-you thank-you thank-you

I have just now (7:00 pm Dec. 7th 2001) discovered your site, and although I have had no time YET to discover its depth I am certain that there will be hours and volumes to read and ponder.

Do not, under any circumstances, EVER take this site off the web lest we all suffer more ignorance.
