... I must, as I always do start off by saying your page is wonderful, opinion at its best.  Not to mention the truth, uncut and raw, that's excellent....  One thing I like on your page is the quotes when one first enters, RELIGION IS INDEED ALL BUNK.  Do you have any writings on Freemasons & Shriners, Rosicrucians or any secret societies?  If so could you point me to them.  Thank you for your time.

My book The Christ Conspiracy contains Masonic information, but I have not written one (yet) about the modern Masonic societies.

Hello, I am not one of "God's" cheerleaders, but I am writing to praise your enlightenment.  I always thought that "God" was a sadistic and evil product of the human imagination created in order to keep people in their place.  I guess religious followers are blind sheep being led by those that claim to be pure and innocent people, but have goals that are known only to themselves.  Millions of people believe in God but have never seen evidence, but thousands of people have seen UFOs but most people don't believe that they exist.  Have these Christians and Jews ever read about Jacob's Ladder, from the Helia Biblia, or "Bible"?  Does the symbolic numbers of seven and twelve mean anything, or are they just more superstitions that we cannot comprehend because we aren't allowed to understand "God"?  If one looks to information other than the Bible, he/she will become a "God" himself/herself.  I don't need superstition (religion) in order to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside, I need love from family and lovers to produce those sensations.

Without giving you a long life history, I just wanted to thank you for creating your web site.  Since I was a child, I thought that there was something terribly "wrong" with organized religion.  My father did also, but he died nine years ago and I never asked him why he felt as he did.

Unfortunately, most of my immediate family and relatives run to church whenever they can and holler and sing and pray and continue to suffer through life.  I always decline to attend.

Anyway, I never regularly attended church and never felt "right" when I did.  I felt as if I was being accused of being a sinful person when actually as a teen and young adult, I was very responsible and "good."  There were many contradictions that were never explained to me and one of the most horrible storybooks I ever saw was composed of bible stories for children.  It depicted extortion, torture, theft, war, mass murder (Sampson killing 12 for their clothing), rape, adultery, incest and tall tales (the Noah's Ark thing).

Your site says volumes about the "Human Condition." I wish you continued strength to speak out and hold tight to your convictions.   I feel much better about my beliefs (or more accurately, my lack of beliefs") since viewing your site.

Thank you again.

Hi there.  Just wanted to write a note of encouragement because you probably get lots of hate mail. I visited your website two days ago and since then I have been back several times.  Each time I read a bit more and I am becoming more excited as I go.  I was once one of those religious christian types myself, albeit a radical thorn in the side of the establishment.  Several years ago I saw the light and left.  It has taken me a long time to recover from the 25+ years of indoctrination, but I am well on my way.  College life has really helped to open my eyes and I am more aware now of the task ahead for those who are aware.  Your peace and good humoured rebuttal of all things which are truly evil on this planet has been a great source of ncouragement.  If there is ever anything I can do for you, just let me know.  Thank you.

As can be seen, I don't get much hate mail in comparison.  Probably 8 or 9 to 1 in favor.

... I only wish you the best in your efforts.  I feel it is of the utmost importance that Christianity finally be exposed for the falacy it has been for some 18 centuries.  But also, in so doing, it must be reoriented to reflect the "high esoteric" allegory which it was originally meant to be.  I would love to obtain a copy of your book.  Please put me on your mail list and let me know when it's available.

Sincerest thanks for your efforts,

Subject:  Hello!

You know, these Christians all speak of a "personal" relationship with Christ, yet none of them could tell you with any certainty the color of his eyes, the tint of his hair, the smell of his b.o.  The way some MEN talk about  their relationship with him makes me wonder about whether or not they're gay (in which case, Pat Robertson would have to deport them or  something, right?).

Well, I have a personal relationship with Paul Bunyon, and he says he  can (and I quote) "kick the Crap out of Christ.  Fuck him."   Heh heh heh.

I kinda wonder what these Christians think about those who also see Buddha and Krishna?  We both know the Egyptians also walked and talked with Horus, Isis, and the whole lot of them too.

Let's see if I can target-vomit on some of these people.  Sheesh.  What complete idiots.

Just linked here from Lucius' site and have bookmarked.  I'll be back to read your refreshingly comic views.  Wanted to give you another "religious" slogan in case you haven't seen this one, here goes, "Religion is for people afraid of going to hell, Spirituality is for people who have already been there."  Hope you like it.

Very, very interesting news with this video; gave it to Iranian friend whose daughter goes to church.  Making long story short, the church  people saw it and several people got up and left, believing this is the work of devil, and several other people stopped going to church.  A mini-revolution ... !

Take care, my good friend, and don't forget no one country has monopoly when it comes to stupidity! Just look at Iranians!

I read The Place of Women in Pure Islam on your site - and I just paid a visit to RAW [Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan. I printed out The Place of Women in Pure Islam - and gave it to my 25 year old sister who has been in a truly dysfunctional relationship with a 21 year old kid from Afghanistan. He recently dropped his mask of goodnature and revealed a monster not to be believed.  This man (boy - really) almost succeeded in his little plot to jet set off to Afghanistan and make a slave out of my sister - but he couldn't hold back any longer.  He verbally assaulted my sister recently on her school campus causing such humiliation she never wanted to return to school again. I am grateful to him for being so weak and doing this to her - had he not - my mother, sisters and I would most likely have had to go on a life or death mission to Afghanistan to kidnap her and bring her back, and since neither one of us qualifies as a commando I doubt we would have had much success.

The cruel things he screamed at her in front of everyone were such awful obscenities - anyway I wanted to thank you. She read the section I printed and has learned a great deal from this experience before any real devastating harm could be done.

Subject:  Tinky *winky* - Is Jerry Falwell a Homosexual?
Date:  Sat, 13 Feb 1999 16:57:54 -0500

I believe that you are a sick person and sooo mislead, I pity you, and I pray for you.  Homosexuality is a sin an abomination, an unnatural act, destructive behavior.  Homosexuals should not be hated but pitied.  However, we can not accept this behavior as OK, our morals must be protected or we will fall as Rome did.  It is more important to be morally right than politically correct.

God Bless

What unbelievable arrogance and superiority on his/her part!  "I pity you, and I pray for you" - Go pray you get a brain, you moron! "Homosexuals should not be hated but pitied." Again, what arrogance!  He's saying, "I'm better than you, and I can therefore bestow pity on you as I look down upon you." Talk about a sick person!  And this brainwashed dope has no clue that it was Christianity that brought down Rome, with its censorship, destruction of literacy and ruination of cultures. If we substitute "Christianity" in place of "homosexuality" in his message, we'd be closer to the truth. Next, all the while this psycho thinks there's a god somewhere "out there" in charge, he thinks he himself is in charge: " ... we can not accept this behavior as OK, our morals must be protected ... " What's he going to do? I don't even want to suggest it in print. The guy's a robot and parrot.

Subject:  Falwell

Read your article on Falwell and the teletubbies with interest and amusement. I had gotten so tired of hearing about Clinton and Lewinsky, etc. that I had quit watching or listening to the "news" and so missed Falwell's original tantrum.  A local editorial stated that as a result of the tantrum, the writer and his granddaughter will be watching the teletubbies together from now on.

I have also been fascinated by the fact that the same people who are so upset about homosexuality are the ones who believe that only the "King James Version" is the "true bible and word of god." ...

Keep up the good work.

This writer is referring to the fact that King James was a notorious homosexual who murdered his lovers and others.

... I have become very inspired after reading your essays. I've been extremely curious for a long time about where things originate, especially religion. However, it's only with men that I've been able to actually have discussions about these things. Women that I have  encountered up to date only go so far, and then it's back to what's hot culturally at the present moment. I enjoy the surface of things as much as anyone, but my probing side is always in full gear and I can't stand all the charades we humans play in our day to day lives...

Gotta run!
you're an inspiration!

Thanks so much for the excerpt.  It was that very subject that first caused me to question the validity of Christianity.  And, your note was quite timely as I was just planning to reserve a copy of your book.  I am looking forward to it's release!

I really appreciate your work, thank you.

I was grateful to see the new "E-mails I have loved" on your website as well. It was encouraging to know there are "others out there". I wonder if there is a support group for recovering religionists (like me)? I have found some information for ex-fundamentalists, but it is still from the perspective of remaining Christian, just not fundamentalist. I'm not really serious about the support group, but I do sometimes wonder if I'll ever be fully deprogrammed.

Keep up the great work,
Thanks again,

Thank you, thank you, thank you. That's pretty much the gist of it. Your website has been the highlight of my newfound access to the 'net. Who knew someone could cover so much, so well, and be articulate at the same time? My childhood was generic christiandom, got easter candy and christmas presents, but never set foot into a church. Then I went to some churches, as guests of friends. the first one was with some asian friends who had been recruited, for some reason they were only allowed to go to bible school, and never "graduated" to going upstairs for the sermon and grape juice and all. That was about age 15 (a little old for rote "jesus loves me...") Other visits to myriad faiths (stories we've all heard before) left me with the same feeling - are we always to be treated like children? Anyways, it's reassuring to find like-minded people in the world - I look foreward to reading more...

Hi.... My father and I came across your website and love it! We are two among a few in this state that do not believe there is a "God". Yes, we were unfortunately blessed to be thrown into the middle of state dripping with religion. Damn Baptists everywhere. My father is a foreign language teacher at a high school right in the middle of the bible-belt.  But he and I meet once a week, at least, and discuss philosophy, the stupidity of religion, etc. When we saw your website we were so happy. The things you have laid out for us in text are wonderful.
