I'm one of those who has been promoting your site and book repeatedly to several people online. Not a single pastor has come back and "explained" what you have written to me.

Most importantly, when I'm involved in discussions about the reliability and validity of the bible, your site gives me a place to send people who are being bombarded with "history" by fundamentalists. Thank you so much for having that available! There is enough there that they step back and think about the assumptions being made.

One evangelical soul got so frustrated with my responses based on your solid information that he emphatically said, "Are you going to believe history or are you going to believe God?"

Keep up the good work!

Namaste Dear Lithe One,

It was only in the early hours of this morn that I finally got round to reading most of your gospel and rants. Oh Mother! Gee! Bless your soul!

THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH !!! Of course u had no choice, while remembering yourself, but to seek the truth and spread the word, yet it is still nice to be appreciated, innit? BTW will u be putting up some more pics or are u getting shy in your old age ;-) !?!? ...

YOURS  almost totally

Subject: Verifing your scholarship
To: Acharya S

I have read The Christ Conspiracy and have only one major concern. Can I trust your scholarship and the scholarship of the many writers that you quote? If the material you present is accurate, you have successfully destroyed my faith in the Christian belief system. I don't have a problem with my belief system being destroyed, provided such destruction is based on truth.

In an effort to ascertain the truth of what you write, I went into the web and reviewed a number of the multiple hundreds of articles dealing with Buddhism. I found nothing in all this material that in anyway reflects the parallels you draw between the Buddha character and the Christ figure. I found the same to be true in reading about Buddha in various books on the subject.

I have checked up on you in only this one area so far and I am alarmed at the non-verification of your data. I would like nothing better than to see you effectively shatter the Christian belief system as I have felt it to be suspect for many years. But I won't totality abandon Christianity until I can be sure it is false.

I was hoping your material would be the clincher. But if I can't verify your data I will remain in limbo relative to my belief system, a situation which I would rather eliminate. I would appreciate you comments on this matter.

PS: You appear to gloss over the testimony of Papies who apparently wrote around 125 AD and vouched for the existence of Mark and Matthew's gospels as fairly early documents relative to the purported Christ event. If the data is correct on when and what Papies wrote relative to Mark and Matthew, would this not be significant verification of something having taken place in the first century involving the Christ character?

As you say, I quote "many writers."  I included numerous quotes to demonstrate that there have indeed been many individuals over the centuries who have discerned the same thing: To wit, the gospel story is fictional, its main character mythical, a personification of the sun. Also, the parts of my work you relate constitute a small portion of the Christ Conspiracy.

The information concerning Buddha (and Krishna) is not well known, evidently deliberately, and is therefore not included in mainstream sources; however, I have found it in numerous, more esoteric sources.  I have included it in Suns of God: Krishna, Buddha and Christ Unveiled.

As concerns Papias, I do not gloss over anything. In the first place, these Papias references do NOT discuss any gospel of Mark but only a gospel of Matthew that, in reality, relates ONLY the Logia Iesou or Sayings of Jesus, not the narrative or gospel tale. In actuality, I certainly DO discuss this issue, in depth. Secondly, the Papias references are related by Eusebius, in the Fourth Century, long after their purported existence.  They are NOT firsthand references. In any case, Papia supposedly wrote a long treatise on the Logia Iesou, or Logia Kuriakou, or Sayings of the Lord, which, in effect, demonstrates that the Sayings existed long before the purported historical godman. Papias, in fact, as I demonstrate quite abundantly in Christ Con, essentially verifies the nonhistoricity of the earliest depiction of Jesus.

To: Acharya S

Just came across your site after reading an article in Paranoia magazine. (Christ Conspiracy excerpt) and I'm ordering the book right away. It's great to find someone who looks at the whole religion thing (and other things) in such a rational way. (I thought I was the only one!) Unfortunately that kind of independent thinking is not encouraged in the US,. especially not in women. Smart, opinionated, educated, outspoken, compassionate, AND a Babe!

Acharya S, you are the total package!

... I saw the Urantia Book in a book store many years ago. I read a few pieces out of it and found that it made me want to yack even more than the disgusting parts of the Judeo-Christian bible. I don't remember many details, and would prefer not to.

I just happened on your sight [sic] and find it interesting. Years ago I was a Pentecostal Preacher, fervently preaching hell fire!! But I have opted to pursue esoteric knowledge instead realizing how blind I was. It was the strangest thing, before any of the type of literature was widely available I had a churning within, "this is not right, something is missing, these people are really, REALLY, screwed up!"!! I made the break and eventually explored Wicca, Druidism, and now Buddhism. I am a completely changed person no longer responsible for the salvation of the world, no longer full of hatred and malice against others who did not believe as I did. I feel a great pride in knowing that someone as yourself has braved the status quo and is revealing things the church does NOT want anyone to know. I wish I could do this because it burns within my soul!! But if I were to do that many of my fellow Wiccans/Druids would be forced into the open against their will because many people know me in my area, and the connection would be made. It is an endless source of frustration for me because I still feel like I'm imprisoned by the Christian Right. So my thanks to you in writing a book that helps my/our "prison" more bearable.

If possible I'd like to get an autographed copy of your book. I will send your page to a book seller friend of mine who will be interested in selling it here in ***********.

Acharya S, such a Beautiful Woman, (Inside/and/Out). Your website, which I found when someone posted the URL in a newsgroup (sorry, don't remember which one), has started me on a journey I didn't even know I wanted to begin. It could have been anyone that sparked that search for Truth and Knowledge, but it was you. THANK YOU!! And how much do I owe you?

P.S. Being raised Southern Baptist, I never really learned to adhere to my Gut Instinct. Not the case anymore. Now I know, Be still and listen to that small inner voice inside you....Mine (which incidentally drives a Ferrari and owns only Italian suits), Asks, 'Acharya, Will You Marry Me?' Pretty pushy for a small inner voice, but he's been timidly silent far too long.

... Are you one of the 12 or so named acharyas from the Rancho Rajneesh days, swamis and mas who got a new name, signifying their supposed advanced position at the ranch and bestowing upon them the responsibilities (power) of Acharya? I was there @ the Ranch in Oregon when the list of new acharyas was posted in the breakfast line at Magdalena Cafeteria and printed in the Rajneesh Times (or whatever the newspaper was called) lucky you to get on that list. I wasn't on any list (lucky me). If not, sorry to confuse you with them.

ps I found you and your site by reading the Steamshovel press which i picked up at the harvest food coop in **** yesterday.

pps I loved your article in the steamshovel about OSHO and agree with it 100%. I was so hurt when the US govt. poisoned Bhagwan, and I still feel his loss like JFK, John Lennon, and others who have been taken from us, ripped out of our guts, torn from this life far before their time (I think).

ppps I would like to support your work by buying your book. Let me know the quickest way to get a little cash into your coffers.

Thanks, doll. No, I'm not part of any organization or clique. I did, however, love the man.

I am very pleased to find sites in the net with such honesty and bravery to stand up against the organized religion.

Every effort to reeducate humanity about the truth and to denounce the racketeering practices of the different churches, should be duty for every person who knows how to read in any language. I said "racketeering" practices because that is the crime committed as it reads in ACTS: 5-1 TO 5-11.

Acts 5:1-11 recounts the tale of Peter essentially causing the death of Ananias and his wife because the couple did not give all of their money to Peter and the Christians. What an extortion racket!

Subject: Loving your web site

I have spent many hours pouring over the numerous articles on your website "Truth Be" Never before have I found a collection of writings so in tuned with my own beliefs that I'm starting to wonder if I'm leading a double life as a schizophrenic, writing these articles myself while I'm not aware of it!

One thing I haven't seen addressed as much as I would like is, why on earth are so many people in this country believers in this crap? All my life it has amazed and shocked me that any reasonably intelligent person could believe in such nonsense.

Is it just me, or does it seem to you that over the last 30 years this country has begun to backslide into a Dark Ages mentality? In the late 60's and early 70's we seemed to be finally moving away from this ancient religious dogma and exploring other spirituality, but lately there's been a reversal in that trend and it seems you can't turn around now without someone wearing their Christianity like a medal. What gives?

My own take on this is that the world continues to become a more dangerous and ugly place, and rather than face the realities of life, people find it much easier to stick their heads in the sand and live in some little pink bubble world of make believe, where ultimately the good are rewarded and the wicked are punished. This still does not explain, however, why anyone with half a brain could follow a belief system so awash in the atrocious and outlandish and accept it so blindly.

Either that or one by one people are being replaced my automatons, a la "The Stepford Wives."

A scary thought any way you look at it. Anyway, thanks for being there.

It certainly does seem as if the U.S. in particular has slipped backwards over the past couple of decades. In fact, it has, and it has been deliberate - the push for brainwashing has been intense.
