Thank you. You seem to be a sweet person, which is, I assume, your interpretation of what is a "true Christian." These others, in all their hatred, anger, arrogance and viciousness, also believe themselves to be "true Christians." A sweet person, in fact, has nothing to do with any of these divisive ideologies called religion, because he or she knows that to say that he or she is something, i.e., a Christian, a Hindu, a Jew, a Muslim, etc., means that he or she is NOT something else, i.e., a member of the other religions, an atheist, a secularist, etc. It is in reality a mean state.
And, it is impossible to imagine how a truly sweet person could subscribe to a mean-spirited ideology that threatens people with horrible punishment and hell, and bullies them into believing and obeying an invisible giant man in the sky. An ideology that says human beings are disgusting, born-in-sin pieces of shit who are only redeemable by believing in what turns out to be a megalomaniacal tyrant. And an ideology that has led to immense suffering, cultural destruction and death over the past two millennia. It is difficult to imagine anything more repulsive. But keep being sweet.

So the pretend Romans pretended to crucify a pretend man whose pretend name was JESUS CHRIST and who pretended to be the SON OF GOD, and whose pretend diciples pretended to believe in, follow, and die for?!?!?!?!?!
This makes you such an intellectual. You deserve a trophy.

Subject: Ochlocracy; The Christ Conspiracy
My copy of The Christ Conspiracy arrived from Loompanics today, and, after reading the preface and the introduction, I was moved to fire up my computer and visit your website.
I only have a few comments at this point.
I read your screed on democracy. I have not been a believer in unlimited democracy since I absorbed the main points of Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers (some 40 years ago). My own point of view is that most people are competent enough when dealing with the immediate, i. e. what goes on in their own personal lives. But when it comes to the non-immediate (that which must be mediated), a majority become invincibly stupid. I won't comment much on current politics, but will point to examples that you are almost certainly extremely familiar with.
There aren't many examples in history of pure democracy, but a good snapshot of one in action is Thucydides' Peloponnesian War. The Athenians fell for the lies of demagogues, committed horrible atrocities, and eventually wound up with the cream of their fighting forces lost in a stupid adventure in Sicily. The political system of the Lacedaemonians was not attractive by any modern standard, but they did win the war (though they were later badly beaten by the Boeotians).
I was particularly impressed by Polybius' Cycle of Constitutions. When you read between the lines, you can see that he was predicting the end of the Roman Republic and its replacement by the Principate. Being so impressed, I mentally reviewed the history of the western world, and was able to see that the model has its virtues - to make a long story short, our political system today isn't really a democracy, but rather an ochlocracy. The would-be oligarchs gain their political power from pandering to the various mobs, with little regard for the well-being of the body politic as a whole (I say "mobs" rather than "mob" because our society is much more complex than anything in the classical experience - Caesar, Crassus et. al. had only one mob to pander to, but modern demagogues have more (and more complex) choices).
After reading the introduction to your book, The Christ Conspiracy, an image came to my mind, that of the bas-relief in (I believe) the British Museum which depicts the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal eating his dinner in a garden, with the severed head of the king of Elam suspended on a branch so that Ashurbanipal could view it while he gloated over his victory over Elam. While Christianity has not lived up to its ideals, it's not as though the Christians invented violence or cruelty. It seems to me that cruelty and violence are natural human impulses (and not limited to humans! I'll never forget that sparrow stealing a crumb right from the beak of another sparrow, with plenty of crumbs available all around). The great innovation of the world religions is the rationalization of these impulses -- when the classical authors mention violence and atrocities, they are never justified (or condemned) in the modern sense of the term, but are normally explained in terms of realistic self-interest on the part of the perpetrator(s). Whether this innovation is a good thing is debatable, but I would point out that the belief in hellfire and damnation has probably prevented some great horrors.
But what has occurred to me is that the time of Christianity is coming to a close, just as the time of the Olympian gods ended sometime between Augustus and Constantine. Viewed in this light, work such as yours is most likely serving a highly valuable function: just as there were doubtless many literal believers in the gods of Olympus well into the centuries CE, there are still many literal believers in the King James version of things, which, in my view, has outlived its usefulness. Once this version has been ultimately rejected, the masses of people who must believe in authoritative doctrines will be ready for whatever is to take its place -- and I'm sure that "free thought" in its literal sense is beyond the majority.
On a lighter note, I must add that the impression I got from the photographs of you on the website is one of great intelligence -- you look like you are sharp as a tack!

... I am fascinated by your information so far, most enlightening and very similar to the path I had been drawn to for a few years now.
I began collecting information on Christianity because I kept running across strange abnormalities in its texts. It seems I was born genetically unable to believe! No matter how much I tried to accept it all from imprinting it wouldn't stick, something wasn't right. After a few years, that was an immense under statement.
So far I have written a 400 page book entitled *****. All who have read it just loved it. I completely shred the Bible especially Christianity I can't stand that religion - it made me very sympathetic to the Jews, but alas its all delusional belief and mythology and it must go. The Sleeper portion is being asleep and hypnotized into a belief system, the Awaken portion strips away all dogmatic and mythological aspects of Eastern philosophy and its parallel to Quantum Physics. It sounds New Age, as much as I don't care for that term. This is just real information - no theories or supposed ideals, just truth. One of my favorite philosophers is Krishnamurti, and I run a parallel with a lot of his view. I also link the idea of quantum consciousness in nonlocality as monistic idealism and suggest that is the core subconscious link humankind has envisioned with all his primitive religious constructions....
I used the web moniker **** because I tend to confront Christians a lot for fun, and I don't want them nailing me to a tree. They are prone to get quite violent if their embedded Bible shifts the wrong way. Please look through it if you ever get time. If its OK with you I will add a link to your site. By the way I saw your picture, are you married? Incredibly intelligent and beautiful that is a rare thing on this planet. You seem to be quite extraordinary.

I'm on the second chapter of your book and it's really amazing!! I've been telling everyone I know about your web site and sending it to all my friends on the web. I thought I would send along this web site because I thought you would get a kick out of it if you haven't seen it already. I thought you might have some fun with these people that are trying to keep the Christ conspiracy alive. I don't think they know about you, because, they bash everyone else on their web site with totally groundless articles except for you and maybe it's time they found out who Acharya S is!!

Hi. S. Acharya.
PLEASE READ ALL THAT I HAVE TAKEN TIME TO WRITE TO YOU. FOR YOUR SAKE.
I feel so sad and sorry for you dear pretty lady. For your soul has know hope after this earthly tent of yours wares out. Your sad soul and spirit will spend eternity just wondering around lost, confused, hopeless, hurting, dying and in endless death. With all the others like you of the past, atleast you won't be alone. For there will be alot of dark sinful and lost wondering stars and fallen angels and spirits with you. Poor sick sad little girl. I am truly sorry, that some Christian believer or believers have hurt you so badly in the past. Sin causes sickness, death, decay, hurts. If you could just forgive them and your self. And let the agape love come into your souls heart. Then maybe just maybe, you will get healed and helped some time, some where and some day.
How can some spirit like yours be so lost and hurting from the real truth. You surely have been blinded by the chief prince of all devils, liars, deceivers and anti-Christ fallen angels. Poor little girl. May the eternal "HOLY SPIRIT" of the Father of all creation and begotten subjects forgive your sick perverted fallen state, and lost soul on the great white throne judgment bema seat, of his holy appointed time for judging all the souls, spirits, minds, of all Angelic & Homo-Sapiens and Primates of his Empyrean. I have just one ? please. Have you ever thought about asking the sweet loving forgiving tender hearted "Holy Spirit" to forgive all your balsamic thoughts, words, and actions against him? I sure hope for your little souls sake and your spiritual self, that before you die as a human being and a fallen angel, that you will ask the "Holy Spirit" to forgive you, and introduce you to the real truth, and holy Father of all creations in his 'Empyrean'. If you don't mind and even if you do, I will be praying for your souls salvation and the redemption of your spirit, and the resurrection of your life back up home to its original state of grace before its fall. Back even before Earth 1. And that some where in time, and eternity your soul & spirit will be saved and chosen to be apart of 'Our Fathers' knew heavens and Earth of the present and the future. Now may the eternal holy Father of all righteousness and agape love and shekinah glory light, introduce you to his wonderful loving and gentle "Holy Spirit" in the name of Yahweh, Yahshua, Jesus. I pray for you this day. Amen

Subject: You really got me thinking

I just wanted to let you know that I'm enjoying your website "truth be known". You really got me thinking. You might say I'm in a sort of mental reorganizing and liquidation stage right now. I also found your book The Christ Conspiracy:The Greatest Story Ever Sold intriguing, so much so that I purchase two copies, one to keep at the house and one to lend to my religious friends. That way if they burn it, I still have a copy available.
One of my pet peeves when reading books and website articles disproving religion is that most writers spend an unproportionate amount of time just refuting Christianity, never spreading any light on the other monotheistic religions like Jewish Talmudism and Islam. Fortunately, you didn't take this angle completely, sparing no one religion that liberty on your website. My other pet peeve is the non-intellectual mocking and slandering of religion that some skeptic writers take. That approach always seemed too agenda-oriented and guided to me. You stayed fairly tempered in your arguments, slipping only when temptation became too great. Yet I can understand the frustration of dealing with most Judeo-Christians. In my opinion, all but a few have purged their minds of all logic and reason.
Lastly, I wanted to mention that, out of the 22 hyper-links on your Radio/TV/Appearances page, with the exception of one ("Sightings on the Radio" with Jeff Rense May 27, 1998), I have never been able to find where I 'm suppose to go to retrieve the download so I can listen to your radio interviews. I seem to just click around in circles looking for your interview link at the X-Zone website. Maybe you could link directly to the interview download instead of just the whole website (just a thought). It has occurred to me that it's entirely possible there aren't any other interview links but I thought I 'd make you aware of this in case there is an error. I have always considered myself rather fluent with the internet, but maybe I'm more internet challenged than I realized.
Thanks. Obviously, I don't consider my skilled tactics in humorously smacking down idiocy to be "slipping." As concerns the radio programs, many of them were not archived, to the best of my knowledge. Unfortunately. Thanks for the enthusiasm.

I'll make this REALLY short, since I can imagine you have TONS of mail to read every day.
About ** years ago, I married a Christian fundamentalist woman. Don't EVEN ask me how I let that happen.
Ever since, I have found immense joy in researching the evidence against Christianity.
I have a strong desire to become an anti-religion activist and help bring "back" the good news to people (especially the young, too-impressionable people of this world).
I have found several other organizations that have a similar goal in mind, when it comes to debunking the myths of religion(s). Two notable ones are "Freedom from Religion Foundation" and "World Pantheist Movement"; I'm sure there are lots more to find but I haven't been at this very long.
It would be great if the anti-religionists of this nation and world could unite in the common effort. The world needs it.
I am looking forward to getting your book Christ Conspiracy I don't know how long my wife will want to stick around when she finds that in the house. We do have a ... child (again, don't EVEN ASK how I let that happen).
I was in virtual ecstasy when I read the "Origins of Christianity...Quest for...Christ". It took a lot of will power for me to stop reading material from your web site and take a few moments to write this letter.
And where were YOU *** years ago, when I was busy making the worst mistake of my life?
Look forward to my donation to your (and so many other people's) cause, after I have had some more time to read your material.

I am a christian, and also I am only 15 years old, but I already know i am right, and you are wrong, I am wise and you are the fool. You are possesed by satan to rip people from there religion and spew lies about everything you do not know about. There is one true God, the God of Abraham, Isiac, and Jacob. And he DID come to earth as a (perfect)man and died for all humans who would chose to love and fear him.I am right.......you are wrong. Thank you for your time, buh-bye, have
a nice day!! ;)
"I am only 15 years old" - yep, that about says it all. What a crime that the powermongers, with immunity, have been able to ruin young minds and keep humans in a puerile state.

just found your site....an oasis of sanity (hooray for people like Jordan Maxwell and Joseph Campbell etc.). by any chance have you looked into the arena of trance, inner plane work, obe's? maybe you've got some links/books/your own essays with some "balanced " info? thank you
