In Memoriam

Acharya's Mom

My beloved mother, Bea, passed away on March 28, 2004, after a long illness.

Below is a poem I wrote for her a month before she died.

Mahatma Mama

by Acharya S

 Mahatma Mama
Great Soul
Wise Woman
Beautiful Being

 My Heart
My Source
My Muse
My Raison D'Etre

 Fly over me
Protect me
Embrace me in your arms
So I am safe and warm.

 Pass peacefully into the Mystery
On the Other Side
With Love and Knowledge
From the Spirit World
With your Wisdom be our guide.

 So long
Farewell
Keep in touch
See you soon.

 I cry
I die
With you
I live
I love
You.

Following is an edited note I wrote to my mom at the same time as I sent her the poem.

Mom

I will miss you more than you know.  My life will feel empty and shallow...  I hope you will be stronger and better than ever in the spirit world, and we will reconnect forever.

It's been my absolute pleasure to know you and to have you as my mother.  There could hardly be a better woman in history, and I have benefited immensely from your awesome beauty, intelligence, fortitude and compassion...

All my love...

Acharya S

Songbird
Written by Christine McVie

For you, there'll be no more crying,
For you, the sun will be shining,
And I feel that when I'm with you,
It's alright, I know it's right

To you, I'll give the world
to you, I'll never be cold
'Cause I feel that when I'm with you,
It's alright, I know it's right.

And the songbirds are singing,
Like they know the score,
And I love you, I love you, I love you,
Like never before.

Acharya's mom and her
Acharya's mom and pups And I wish you all the love in the world,
But most of all, I wish it from myself.

And the songbirds keep singing,
Like they know the score,
And I love you, I love you, I love you,
Like never before, like never before.

Hi Acharya,

...Your memorial to your mom is beautiful and will touch the hearts of many and bring a smile to your mother's face.  Not tears, but laughter is what she wishes for you and your little angel.  She is free - yes freer than a bird and will soar through the universe to see all the miracles and the mysterious places she dreamt of for so long. She offers you joy and well being and so do I....
