I read with extreme approbation about the proposal.... One encounters such rubbish on the net, perpetuated in good faith, by followers of Sitchin, Starhawk, Jesus etc. It's next to impossible to personally verify every bit of information out there. The initiation of a recognised body that could bestow some sort of recognisable seal of approval would go a long way toward establishing a sense of certainty with respect to web site information dissemination. I sincerely hope that your institute accomplishes this goal in addition to correcting the institutional media. And while you're at it, how about an institute of exacting logic?
I think that you've set my reading list for the next decade....
I'm a little confused as to your inclusion of so many of the Mu/Atlantis writers. Do those authors really include few historical inaccuracies?
After studying them for decades, I find the Atlantis/Mu arguments very compelling, especially from an archaeological/linguistical perspective.

I am ... a reader and great admirer of Acharya's for about 6 months now. I have come out of just about anything religiously bad and stifling you could name, including most recently a very, very mind-crippling cult. Somehow I escaped with my mind (mostly) intact.... I am no longer a Christian, and no longer ascribe any holiness whatsoever to the book most call the bible. (How freeing it is to realize that there's no "god" peeking over my shoulder, or in my own mind, or in my bedroom, or in my underwear, having a concern over my sexuality!) I no longer consider sexuality in any of its consenting manifestations to be a moral issue, nor do I believe that it is any of my concern what other adults do with each other in private. I simply don't care anymore....

... I am currently reading your long awaited book, The Christ Conspiracy - The Greatest Story Ever Sold. I have also viewed the "The Naked Truth" tape.
I love your truthbeknown site by the way!
For years my mind upheld the supposed truths of the Bible and questioned not the historicity of the Jesus character. I was raised Roman Catholic. A few years back, I began reading various texts on Eastern religions, philosophy etc. I especially remember reading The Messianic Legacy by Michael Baigent and Henry Lincoln. I was dumbfounded by the quote of Pope Leo X, who uttered "What profit has not that fable of Christ brought us." I remember thinking, this can't be true.
Since then, I have read some works of Robert Ingersoll, Joseph Wheless, John Remsburg, Mangasarian, and of course yours! I am amazed that I, as well as society as a whole has been duped for so long. My investigations have been quite enlightening!
Since reading that one quote, I have been searching for "truth." I am now almost 51 years old and very grateful for tripping over the works mentioned previously and especially yours. I thank you and others for opening my eyes.
I have a question for you. I know that you have an archeological background. I recently read on a "Christian Think Tank" making reference to a "proof" that the village of Nazareth existed because of some inscription discovery in 1962 in "Caesara Maritima" which confirms Nazareth's early existence.
Have you ever heard of the "Caesara Maritima" or its supposed inscription whatever it is? ...
Thanks again, Acharya, for your work. You are very well educated and quite the fox, if you don't mind my saying!
It seems that, as usual, it takes very little to "prove" something out of the (mostly fictitious) Judeo-Christian bible. There is no mention of Nazareth in the Old Testament or any texts of the first century CE. Caesarea was a port city built by Herod the Great in honor of Caesar Augustus (1st cent. BCE). It contained a site for Mithra worship. As we know, Christianity "borrowed" much of its myth and ritual from Mithraism. The above "Christian Think Tank" link cites some credible scholarship as concerns the existence of Nazareth. It seems as if "Nazareth" was transplanted, perhaps by the "priests of the order of Elkalir," sometime during the second century CE to a previously occupied site. I have not found any other reference to "Elkalir." However, "el," of course, is Semitic, i.e., Hebrew and Arabic, and "kalir" ("lightbearer") is Turkish, which would also be Arabic or Palestinian. Such would fit in nicely with the notion of transportation by an Arabian cult. As Joseph McCabe says, " ... He is also called Jesus of Nazareth from his supposed birth-place, but there is no trace of such a place in contemporaries, and the practice of modern religious writers of identifying it with the existing En-Nazira is very precarious and disputed." In addition, that inscription from Caesarea apparently is from a synagogue that dates to the third or fourth century CE, long after "Nazareth" had been created as a result of its mention in the New Testament. In other words, it is not evidence of the existence of Nazareth in the first or second centuries. Furthermore, as Frank Zindler says, "It is doubtful, however, that the inscription really mentions Nazareth."

I am very pleased for you...
Was it Buddha that said "The journey must begin with a single step?" He should have added that it should also be in the direction you wish to go. I see for you an influence over the entire world of mankind and for all time to come... I wonder what will it require of you and what you must do next?
Don't forget that as much as Christianity mimics the sun, Judaism and Islam have worked the lunar in the night... and they will see where all this must go. Be careful.
Devotion for the principle and the reality of truth is a lesson beyond the ordinary. It is to know oneself so well that the perception of others can be equally interchanged without a noticable difference in our own reality.
Greatness may be in what others say of us, but true greatness has lived in the heart long before another ever knew of it and was guide to what we have done. Those so blessed, knew or sensed it long before it happened... like a calling from some future sense of our own being.
You have this opportunity.

Subject: Pat Buchanan..."Visionary?"
To: Acharya S
I had the misfortune of catching Mr. Buchanan on the Matt Drudge TV show on Saturday evening. Pat was at his bellicose best for the cameras. THREE CALLERS referred to Mr.Buchanan as a visionary who would save our nation from the grips of globalist forces. Even Mr. Drudge jumped on the Buchanan party ship...these people seem to believe that the US should be separate from the world community. I wonder if they would be willing to restrict the import of rare metals as readily as they would like to restrict Japanes autos? Or perhaps all those Indian programmers that have helped to remediate information systems in advance of the Y2000 date change? Or the hispanic laborers that are caring for their children, cutting their grass and working in the restaurants that serve them the meals that they eat on Sunday. After all, Christians aren`t supposed to work on the "Lord's day" although the hispanic workers are clearly exempt from the dictates of the bible. :-)
Congrats on your wonderful website...keep illuminating the web!
Hi - I used to not like Buchanan at all, but I have to agree that those in power he targets are in general very unsavory. At least he's got the balls to challenge them. Naturally, much of his spiel is white male-oriented - I don't particularly care for his sexual subordination, or mindless support of Catholicism. Thanks for the kudos!!

... The more I listen to and see the antics of the "devoted" religionists the more ludicrous they seem to be to me... funny but in a tragically sad way. People who seem erudite and intelligent just respond in irrational and unbelievable ways. They are also potentially quite dangerous if they think a heathen is in their way.

I am very much looking forward to reading The Christ Conspiracy cover to cover, and expect I'll like it very much. This is the type of book I'll want to give to selected friends (those able to apppreciate it), so I'll keep extra copies on hand. Of course, I'll treasure the signed copy. I'll keep it all my life and never forget you. Thanks for what you are doing. I know first hand the pain cults cause in people's lives. I feel the work you are doing is the moral equivalent of finding a cure for any other dread disease. Thanks. I love you.

Subject: Very refreshing to have stumbled upon your book!
To: Acharya S
I came across your book in the store the other day. Enjoyed it, although haven't read every word, as I kind of jumped around in it. It is refreshing to read someone whose viewpoint I can relate to, (even more so after seeing you are an attractive woman), adds a little excitement to the whole thing!
LOL I have been interested in the truth for many years, and it has been very frustrating as of late as I have come to realize that in the pursuit of truth, one has to constantly deal with the question of whether ones source of info is telling the TRUTH!!! When younger I had a more naive attitude, but as the years have gone by, I have realized there is much DECEPTION in the world. LYING and DECEPTION are things I despise and am entirely tired of dealing with. I have done my own little research in the bible and discovered many contradictions, yet for some reason the world of Christianity goes on regardless of there existence in the book they claim is 100 percent accurate. For some reason despite my value for integrity, the universe gave me an opportunity to deal with a girlfriend who, LIED, LIED, LIED. Hmmmm...LIke to think good will come of it! LOL. Although I don't take the bible literally, it may have some truth to it when it says that Satan the father of lies is its ruler!! LOL

Let me just say that I think The Christ Conspiracy is THE most important contribution to the world that I have yet seen. It ranks as my all time favorite book and I have a list of at least 20 people that I plan on giving a copy to....
This book sews up SO MUCH that I have learned in my quest through life and is giving me a more well rounded vision, as well as, new avenues to pursue, like astrology (the study of the celestial bodies meaning and interrelationships) and astrotheology...into "ancient wisdom...into the deepest mists of time". I read several pages to my husband last night ... and he is VERY impressed. I'm sure this will push him to the point of saying goodbye to the cult that he is in.
So many people that do not read would greatly benefit from an audiobook. Whatd'ya think Acharya, is that in the making?
I do see that you have much, much more to write about (I do wish this book had no end) ...
Let me suggest that we call the bookstores and request copies to be stocked. I intend to call all the bookstores several times each, until they order several for stock. A few of my friends will do the same I'm sure.
"Issa-ra-el, the kingdom of the moon (Isis), Sun (Ra), and stars (El)." COOL
"Solstice" etymology = "sun stands still" FORKIN' COOL! (and, being an obedient student, I confirmed that it is so).
Tabernacle - the tent of the sun. OH YEAH!
Mazzaroth - the Zodiac!
Well, so many wonderful morsels amidst an entree that is extremely satisfying!
... totally persuaded

Subject: Your BOOK arrived - WOW!!!!!!!!
Date: Sat, 25 Sep 1999 10:30:07 -0500
Warmest greetings to our BEAUTIFUL & WONDERFUL Acharya S!
Your book arrived from Amazon late yesterday! All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW & MORE WOWS!!!!!!!
I, and ALL of MINE are enraptured & enthralled at SUCH KNOWLEDGE revealed to us!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!
I can truthfully & in all sincerity say that your book, The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold, is THE ONE MOST IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTION ever made to the 21st Century! For what use are exciting "medical breakthroughs," "wonderful new inventions," "heady knowledge," and "greatly advanced technology," if the whole planet REMAINS deceived and in spiritual darkness? In spite of all of these "rapid-growth developments," the whole planet is still plagued with the stench of a rotting, cancerous growth, and earth will remain desperately ill, if the cancer continues to only be treated with a Band-Aid, when major surgery is required! Your book, exposes the cancer (religious deception), and the remedy (enlightenment & removal) for this sickness! Let's determine to send-forth tremendous SPIRITUAL ENERGY & LIGHT, in hopes that every one on planet earth will read and respond to the awakening knowledge that you bring forth in The Christ Conspiracy. If not, there doesn't seem to be much hope left for our beautiful earth!
Of course, my favorite chapter was, "The Myth of Hebrew Monotheism!" I would like your permission to copy that chapter (saying, of course, that it is taken from your book, and authored by you) and send it to all of my Jewish family members, friends, co-workers, synagogue friends, rabbis, etc. I doubt if any of them would buy the book, as they already know that "Jesus" was a fake/myth, and so would miss out on the most important chapter!
My son's favorite chapter, of course, was, "The Bible, Sex and Drugs." HA!
I can see that I am going to have to order more copies, so we (my family members) won't fight over who gets to read it!
How can I ever thank you enough, Acharya? I know this must have been a long and excruciating undertaking, with a lot of self-denial for you, to research & write this MOST WONDERFUL BOOK! I just hope that the eyes & spirit of mankind on planet earth will be open to everything that you bring forth in the book! I know that is hoping for a lot, in view of the thick darkness that "covers the earth" (guess the O.T. was right about THAT, huh?). Maybe, as the new Millenium approaches, more and more people will begin to question old teachings that haven't worked, and that their hearts and minds will be open to truth, light and proof of the real workings of the universe! I SO sincerely hope so!! Wouldn't it be a wonderful thing if, at last, "HOLY (?) WARS" would cease?
P.S.... All that you revealed in your The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold, I had already dug out through years & years of heartbreaking investigation & research! But your book just confirmed what I already knew & what I had already come out of! And, your book put its all together....

... So much on your site is exactly what I have been thinking about for years. I especially liked your part on entheogens. I have always wondered about this stuff, and read alot about it, starting with R.Gordon Wasson and ending up with Terrence McKenna. I recently saw Robert Anton Wilson speak, and I asked him about what he thought would happen with the war on drugs. He correctly corrected me and said "oh, you mean the war on SOME drugs." He said that it would become increasingly impossible to fight and they would give up within ten years. I disagreed with him. I think we are moving into Burrough's world of Guards and Prisoners myself. What do you think on the matter? I mean, we are at the height of hypocrisy with even contemplating Bush for president, but then look at them all since Kennedy ...
Also, the Talmud. I read your discussions about judaism and I found it very interesting. The edition of the Talmud that you recommended is over $800.00!!!! Anywhere else I can find this information without such an expenditure?
... you have to be one of the most interesting people I have ever had the honor to meet....
You can get a number of the pertinent pages from the Soncino Talmud reproduced in The Plot Against Christianity.

... My wife & I have often remarked that the immense wealth accumulated by religious organizations and public evangelists are the most blatant evidence that they do not have the interests of the people in mind or heart...
... Money spent on Church buildings, furnishings and clerical salaries would feed, clothe and provide medical services for millions of people.
